hololive Dreams Song Unlock Guide — Every Method Explained

How to unlock songs in holodori: Holomem Stage quests, Extra Song Campaign, Brand New Summer event tracks, Music Disks, and priority order for F2P players.

Last updated:

hololive Dreams ships with 150+ playable tracks at launch and grows through live service campaigns — but not every song appears in your library on day one. Some unlock through Dream Park quests, others drop free during the Extra Song Campaign, and six more arrive via the Hello! Brand New Summer! event. A handful still require Music Disks (song tokens) from shop rewards or pre-registration mail.

This guide lists every unlock path, explains how to spend Music Disks wisely, and gives a priority order so F2P accounts expand their library without wasting premium currency. For the full track list context, see the Song Library page.

How the holodori song library works

At July 23, 2026 launch, most of the rhythm catalog is already playable — originals like Seishun Archive and Nakama Uta, member covers, and concert arrangements. Additional songs enter through four main channels:

  1. Automatic campaign drops — Extra Song Campaign and similar live events
  2. Holomem Stage quests — Dream Park story gates tied to specific talents
  3. Event mission songs — Limited-time rallies like Brand New Summer
  4. Music Disk purchases — Discretionary unlocks from shop or mailbox rewards

Campaign and event songs stay permanently after they unlock. Missing a first-clear bonus hurts, but the track itself does not disappear when an event ends.

Method 1: Extra Song Campaign (free daily adds)

The Extra Song Campaign runs July 24 – August 7, 2026, adding 25 songs over 15 days at no cost. Each morning (JST), QualiArts posts the new title on @holo_dreams_en; the track appears automatically in song select — no Music Disk, no code, no gacha pull.

Daily routine during the campaign:

  1. Check official X for the announcement
  2. Launch hololive Dreams and confirm the new entry
  3. Clear Normal once for first-clear rewards
  4. Add useful stages to your farming rotation

By campaign end, the library reaches roughly 175 tracks. Treat every drop as a permanent unlock, not a rental.

Method 2: Holomem Stage quests

Holomem Stage quests in Dream Park permanently unlock playable holomem and associated songs without spending Diamonds. NPC holomem with ! markers on the map offer rhythm requirements — clear the specified chart on Normal, return for Full Combo goals later.

Quest unlocks outperform impulse gacha for roster and library breadth during launch week. Prioritize quests featuring talents who buff songs you already farm. If a quest gates a track you need for facility materials, bump that chain above optional side content.

See the Dream Park guide for zone navigation and quest marker habits.

Method 3: Event mission songs

Limited events add songs through mission progression rather than daily drops. Hello! Brand New Summer! — holodori’s first major in-game event — unlocks six event songs as you advance the summer story:

SongFeatured talent
Bakunatsu!! Tropica VacationEnsemble original
Hot Duck!Oozora Subaru
UNDEAD (cover)Shiranui Flare
HomenobiShirogane Noel
Renai Circulation (cover)Tsunomaki Watame
You & AizuOtonose Kanade

These tracks remain in your library after August 5, 2026 when the point rally closes. Only ranking and badge shop windows expire — not the songs themselves. Play each mission song on Normal when it unlocks to register first-clear rewards before farming Event Pt.

Future anniversary and seasonal events will follow similar mission-gated patterns. Bookmark the events hub for schedules.

Method 4: Music Disks (song tokens)

Music Disks function as holodori’s discretionary song tokens. Pre-registration granted Music Disk ×3 to every account via mailbox. Additional disks arrive from rhythm missions, event milestones, and occasional shop exchanges.

Use Music Disks when:

  • A song gates an active Holomem Stage quest you are pursuing today
  • A track unlocks a daily farming stage with strong material drops
  • You confirmed the song will not arrive free through an ongoing campaign

Do not spend disks on:

  • Tracks already scheduled in the Extra Song Campaign drop list
  • Cosmetic favorites you cannot farm yet when a free unlock path exists
  • Bulk unlocking before you know your main rotation

Disks are finite early game. Saving them beats browsing the Music Disk shop without a target.

Priority order for F2P players

When multiple unlock paths compete for your time and tokens, follow this order:

  1. Event mission songs first — Brand New Summer and similar rallies have hard end dates for first-clear bonuses and ranking rewards tied to those stages
  2. Extra Song Campaign daily drops — Free, permanent, and time-sensitive for launch-week first-clear materials
  3. Holomem Stage quest songs — Zero premium cost; often unlock talents alongside tracks
  4. Music Disk spending on favorites — Only after confirming no free path exists and the song fits your daily farm set
  5. Save remaining tokens — Hold disks until a quest or facility explicitly requires a locked track

This order maximizes permanent library growth while preserving Music Disks for gates you cannot bypass.

Launch library vs campaign additions

The Song Library page documents the full launch roster. Roughly 150+ tracks ship day one; campaign and event layers stack on top without replacing staples like Seishun Archive.

Always verify your personal count in-game — QualiArts adjusts track availability through live updates.

Songs and gacha (what pulls do not unlock)

Holomem gacha expands your roster, not the rhythm catalog directly. Pulling a talent does not automatically add every song featuring them. Song access flows through the methods above.

Save Diamonds for holomem banners per the Gacha Guide — do not confuse Music Disk spending with gacha pulls. A ★4 holomem from a quest plus a free campaign song beats a standard banner pull for library progress on most F2P accounts.

Farming unlocked songs efficiently

Once a track is in your library, unlock value shifts to stamina efficiency:

  • Bring MV-featured holomem for score bonuses
  • Prefer short charts for material farms during busy launch weeks
  • Register first-clear rewards on Normal before pushing Hard or Expert

Cross-reference team building and the Song farming guide when building your daily rotation.

Common song unlock mistakes

  • Burning Music Disks on campaign tracks that would drop free the next morning
  • Ignoring Brand New Summer missions until the ranking window closes
  • Skipping Holomem Stage rhythm requirements and buying disk access instead
  • Unlocking favorites before event songs with hard deadlines
  • Assuming gacha pulls add songs — they add talents, not catalog entries

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about hololive Dreams.

What is the fastest way to unlock songs in hololive Dreams?

During launch month, check the Extra Song Campaign daily for free drops, advance Brand New Summer event missions for six event songs, and clear Holomem Stage quests in Dream Park. These paths cost no Music Disks or Diamonds.

Should I use Music Disks on campaign songs?

No. Extra Song Campaign tracks unlock automatically in song select. Save Music Disks for songs that gate active quests or will not appear in ongoing free campaigns.

Do Brand New Summer songs stay after the event ends?

Yes. All six event mission songs remain permanently in your rhythm library. Only the point rally, ranking, and badge shop close on August 5, 2026.

What order should F2P players unlock songs?

Event mission songs first, then daily Extra Song Campaign drops, then Holomem Stage quest unlocks, then Music Disk spending on confirmed favorites. Save remaining tokens until a quest or facility requires a specific locked track.
